Can callers from outside North America call my toll free number?
No. In general, callers from outside North America can not call NANP toll free numbers directly for free. In some cases where callers can connect to a North American toll free number, there are extremely high rates charged (e.g. $5/min.) which would be passed to the toll free number account holder. Because of this, we block all calls originating outside the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii), Canada, Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands as a measure to protect our customers from such extreme charges.
A better solution for allowing International callers is to add a U.S. local number to an account. This would allow any caller in the world to connect to your virtual phone system without the risk of being responsible for high rate calls.
